Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Pacific Coastal Men’s Clinic.
Do I need to come into an office?
No. Every appointment at Pacific Coastal Men’s Clinic is conducted via telehealth video. Oregon residents can access our services from anywhere in the state.
Are you a licensed Oregon provider?
Yes. All care is provided by a licensed Oregon provider. We operate fully within Oregon medical and pharmacy regulations.
Who is eligible for your services?
Our services are available to Oregon residents who meet the clinical criteria for each program. We cannot accept patients who are currently enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) or Medicaid. Eligibility is determined after a brief online assessment and provider review.
What happens after I book?
You’ll be directed straight to book your telehealth appointment. There’s no waiting on a separate review step, you’ll speak with your provider directly to determine the right plan for you.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies by program. All fees are listed on our Pricing page. Labs are the one cost that sits outside your monthly price, and the numbers are on that page too.
Do you accept insurance?
Clinic services are self pay. We do not bill insurance for memberships, visits or medications, and we can provide documentation for potential out-of-network reimbursement upon request. Labs are no exception: they are cash pay at Quest prices, and we do not bill insurance for them either. The lab prices on our pricing page are what you pay, with no claim and no deductible.
How often do I need labs, and what do they cost?
This schedule is for TRT monitoring. Other services require significantly less lab monitoring, and some require none at all, but labs are always available by request. For TRT: every 3 months for your first 6 months, then every 6 months until your levels are stable, then once a year after that. You can test more often any time you want to. Your first panel is $175 at our cash rate and every panel after that is $50, so a typical first year runs about $325 in labs, which averages about $27 a month, and about $50 a year, roughly $4 a month, once you are stable. All in, plan plus labs, that is about $126 a month your first year on Core at $99/mo and about $103 a month from year two on, or about $166 then $143 on Core Daily at $139/mo. We encourage you to compare these prices with other providers. If you are switching to us with recent labs and a current prescription, you often will not need a new draw to start.
Do you accept OHP (Oregon Health Plan) or Medicaid?
Sorry, we cannot take patients who are currently enrolled in Medicaid at this time.
HSA/FSA Accepted
Pacific Coastal Men’s Clinic provides qualified medical services, including medical evaluation, treatment, prescription management, laboratory review, and prescribed medications. These expenses are generally eligible for payment or reimbursement through an HSA or FSA, subject to the rules of the patient’s plan. Patients are responsible for confirming eligibility with their plan administrator.
Can my payments count toward my deductible or out-of-pocket maximum?
Membership fees are paid directly to Pacific Coastal Men’s Clinic. Depending on the patient’s health plan and the services provided, some payments may qualify for application toward the patient’s deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Eligibility is determined solely by the patient’s insurer. The Clinic does not guarantee reimbursement or deductible credit but may provide reasonable documentation of eligible services upon request. This may apply to certain state-regulated commercial plans, including individual and group plans regulated by Oregon, plus PEBB and OEBB. It may not apply the same way to self-funded employer plans governed primarily by ERISA, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid/Oregon Health Plan, or plans issued outside Oregon.
Can I use my own lab?
We route lab orders to Quest Diagnostics. Your order goes to a Quest location near you, we send it ahead, and you pick a time and walk in. If you already have recent labs, bring them and we will review them before ordering anything new. A small number of Oregon towns have no Quest location, and in those cases we send your order to a local draw site and tell you exactly where to go.
Is my information private?
Yes. We are HIPAA compliant. Your health information is never sold. Information is shared only as permitted by law and as necessary to provide your care.
Is this an Oregon-based business?
Yes. Pacific Coastal Men’s Clinic is owned and operated by a Licensed Oregon Physician Associate, right here in Oregon. All medical care is provided by an Oregon-licensed healthcare provider, and your dollars stay local, not sent off to some out-of-state company.
